3rd Quarter 2017 Market Review

The average house price in West Lothian rose by 2.0% in the third quarter of 2017, compared to the third quarter of 2016. The Volume of detached property sold in West Lothian rose by 6.1% in the third quarter of 2017 compared to the third quarter of 2016. In Scotland as a whole the volume of detached residential property sold in the third quarter of 2017 rose by 3.8% compared to the third quarter of 2016.

Many Surveyors are reporting a slight slowing in the rate of properties coming onto the market, not unexpected for this time of year, but that demand from buyers remains strong and this reflects our own view here at Paul Rolfe. Therefore the demand for well-presented family homes house sellers will continue to be pleasantly surprised with prices achieved.
